Q4. How did you integrate technologies – software, hardware and online – in this project?
Since this is a simple question, I will answer it in a simple manner by making old fashioned lists.
Let's start with the hardware used and hence incorporated into the making of this project
1. HP Probook 450: My Laptop is probably the most important one since I used it in almost every stage and for creating this blog and this very post.
2. Nikon d5300: This is the camera we used for the shoot and hence one of the most important pieces of hardware used. Also, it has its own software so using this camera provided a good blend of hardware and software.
3. Iphone 7: We used this for the preliminary exercises as well as for capturing the bts shots
4. Hard drive. I think its purpose is self explanatory.
5. A pair of Sennheiser HD 280 Pro headphones. This headphones enhance sound mixer's sonic abilities and are hence very useful in mixing sounds.
6. The Drone: This was used for certain shots and is the hardware that gave our product some of its most aesthetic shots.
7. The Internet: I really doubt it needs any explanation even for the statement that it integrates all three, software, hardware and online.
8. Tripod
9. SD Card: We used it in the camera to store the pictures and videos that we captured
Moving on to the Softwares that we used.
1. Final Cut Pro X: This is the main editing software that we used to edit our product. We integrated software and hardware by using cables to transfer the footage on the laptop from where we imported it into the software. Once we had completed the editing and we exported the video from the software to our laptop, it once again involved the co-working of software and hardware. We also used the software upload the video on YouTube and tweak the upload settings which resulted in the integration between online and software as well.
2. Photoshop
We used the software on the laptop and by exporting and import pictures from the laptop to the software and vice versa we integrated software with hardware
3. Logic Pro X: We used this to make a few minor adjustments to the song and by downloading plug ins for the software from the internet we integrated software with online
4. Safari: We used safari for all our research regarding the product and about music videos or its elements. Since you use it on a device like a laptop or phone, it is almost a natural integration between hardware and software.
5. Notes
6. Microsoft Word
7. Microsoft PowerPoint: I used it to create presentations and used it on my laptop, hence integrated software and hardware
8. Whatsapp: We created our group on Whatsapp as well as the group for the cast and received feedback on it as well. We use it through internet and on devices like mobile phones and hence integrated all three in it, software, hardware and online.
9. AV Box: Used it on my phone and imported audio files in it through phone and afterwards exported them to phone so integrated software and hardware
10. DU Recorder: Used it on my phone and imported videos in it through phone and afterwards exported them to phone so integrated software and hardware
Moving on to the last thing, Online technologies.
1. Wix (blog)
2. esurveycreator.com (created the survey on it)
3. Powtoon (For a few presentations in the research stage)
4. Prezi (For creating presentations)
5. Google
6. YouTube
This concludes my answer to the fourth creative critical evaluation question for my A2 project.
