This post serves the purpose of finding out which Record Label would we have approached with our music video for Otherside if we were going to take it to one of the existing Record Label instead of creating a new fake one.
We do not have a lot of Record Labels in Pakistan, especially since 90% of the Music Industry is owned and controlled by companies like Coke, Pepsi and Nestle. However we discussed the ones that are there in Pakistan and decided on True Brew Records.
Abdullah has already worked with True Brew Records. They were also the ones who produced the music for Sarmat Khoosat’s 2015 awards favorite Manto. They also have signed a big act like Ali Sethi. And we think True Brew Records will be perfect for our artist. It has just the right amount of indie quirkiness and commercial appeal to market our brand well. And even though there is not much of an industry, still, TBR can help us reach out.
We may be invited to do morning shows as they are very popular in Pakistan. We may also be asked by the record label to attend various meet and greets like the comicon arranged by LUMS every year.
