Preparations on the Day of the Shoot

We all gathered in a classroom that we had reserved for keeping our stuff and carrying out the discussions. Humayun was running later because he had another project to complete that very day as well and therefore while he wasn't there we spent the time going over the shots and finalizing the details.

It also turned out that there was an inter-class cricket match in the grounds which meant that we couldn't shoot the shots in the basketball court until 5 p.m. and there was interference with some other scenes as well, the players could be seen in the background.

By this time the drone was also running late. Abdullah Imran Qureshi had to make an emergency stop elsewhere and therefore we didn't have the drone in our possession as well.

At this point everything seemed to be going wrong and we got skeptical about whether we will be able to pull it off. It was approximately 3 p.m at this point and I started lobbying for us to start. I told everyone again and again that we needed to start the face paint and the preparations so that we may start immediately when Humayun arrives and the ground is free. Also, because we were running out of time.

After a little convincing and encouragement, everyone got on their feet. The cast, including me, changed and Abdullah went out to the football ground to set the camera and setting for the first few shots. We followed behind him soon enough and started the face paint. Huzaifaa handled the face paint with Salman painting his face for ease. Humayn arrived before we were done and Huzaifaa quickly painted his face while I, along with Abdullah set the camera for the first scene where Humayun is upside down.

I got on the pull-up bar upside down and Abdullah configured the settings of the camera.

I talked to Abdullah about how we can remove the players from the background by moving our shoot further down the football ground for until the match is over and that we can start with the shots that are not getting disturbed by the match. Everyone agreed.

We were now ready to start the shoot.
